New Flour Bluff Elevated Water Storage Tank
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Corpus Christi Water (CCW) will replace a one-million-gallon water tank built in 1970. CCW expects to lift the bowl on a new three-million-gallon elevated storage tank (EST) in Flour Bluff tomorrow. The EST, located at Flour Bluff Drive and Division Road intersection, is one of seven in the city.
The tank’s height creates pressure that assists in distributing water to homes and businesses in the Flour Bluff area. Before the new elevated water storage tank comes online in April 2024, the roof and floor of the bowl will be installed. Additional work includes coating and installing mechanical and electrical equipment, software, and emergency generators.
